Tomorrow

Drifting along from now,

A rift in time, not quite there,

Pushed forward by a breath,

Strolling and facing the cliff,

Forced to plunge toward the new surface,

Enveloped by the multitudes of the cold embrace,

Water upon the skin,

Slipping off,

Emerging and casting off the past,

Awake and alive no connections to remiss,

Walks to there, where and everywhere,

A step to nowhere but somewhere,

Rising above the cliffs,

Gaining altitude,

Difficult to breathe,

Almost there,

A summit above the rest,

Piercing through the clouds,

Almost on top, but nothing more,

Than a gaze among possibilities
