Together as one we stand
The smell of equality is so sweet
Together as one we stand
Our thirst for freedom cannot be beat

Civil Right leaders have paved the way
So that you and I could be free
Even our ancestors had a lot to say
Not for you, not for me, but for we

Together as one we stand
All humans together as one
We fought hard to share this land
But our job here is not yet done

From Ida B. Wells to Martin Luther King
And from Rosa Parks to Malcolm X
These people fought for more than just a thing
They fought for equal rights; something too complex

The Underground Railroad
Was lead by a woman
Something you must encode
Thank you, Ms. Tubman

Together as one we stand
Let's keep the equality here forever
Together as one we are grand
Peace forever; segregation never

Together as one we stand
The smell of equality is so sweet
Together as one we stand
Our thirst for freedom cannot be beat
