Today I Say Good Morning To The Sun

Location

Today I say good morning to the sun!

Usually it is the sun that wakes me up every single day.

But today is special...

At six a.m. it is I smiling down as the Sun

Stirred from his deep, deep slumber.

Good Morning, Sun!

How did you sleep last night?

The birds chirp their hello off in the distant trees

Their voices, high-pitched and excited.

"Hello."

"Hello."

I glance up suddenly to the sky,  the blue was beginning to

Illuminate behind the dark  shapes of the trees.

Night was beginning to smudge, no, strangle the outlining of the horizon

Smiling bright and cherry the Sun stretch his arms into the

Yonder literary heavens, shooting a dazzling crooked smile in my direction

His smile was so radiant that the sky flashed with luminous light

Life, once still, cozily napping in its cocoon during the dark night hours

Had begun to revive itself in this new found brilliance.

I wonder when the Sunset comes if I’ll be able to say good night to the Moon...
