Timekeeper

Happy Birthday timekeeper,

fear sweeper,

guarder of the

silence of my sanity left at a whisper.

Whisper,

Whisper,

do you hear that?

Your voice so smooth

sinks into my silhouette,

your breath so calm,

musically delicate,

as if to blow out the 16

candles you left us with,

and an extra for God,

so extravagant,

17.

Forever I’ll feel you

walk with me,

talk with me,

calm the raging wars inside of me.

Light every candle

 that embraces my path,

Austin, the aftermath

was hard,

like candy too strong

to bite into,

I need to see you,

 feel you,

hug you;

But you timekeeper,

promise me you’ll

always whisper through my silhouette,

and guide the path

you left me with.

Timekeeper,

I’ll keep our memories

locked in my heart,

just  come fly in

when you need a part,

of me,

of us.

The movie reel winds,

we let out our cries,

this was our time,

these were our lives,

this is real life..

where the innocent,

magical kids are made spirits

and descend from heaven

to comfort us.

Timekeeper,

always stay near,

so I can hear you

blow out many more candles;

so one day

I’ll blow them out with you.
