Tides

Upon golden shore does crash the wave,

warmly whispering, sweet Zephyr does croon,

still, these errant thoughts of you I cannot stave,

My heart is the Tide and you are the Moon.

Lips part, exuding light bright as the sun,

eyes nebulous, deep as the cobalt ocean,

senseless lunics from the Moon do not run,

the risible Tide follows the motion.

The sodden air surrounds my battered boat

What trouble have I gotten into now?

But being my sea, you keep me afloat

Despite thick fog blinding me at my bow

True and Cardinal, like a compass rose,

into unknown water my heart has dove.
