Through Their Eyes

Mom says I’m amazing

Dad praises my conviction

My boyfriend tells me I’m beautiful

My sister envies my empathy

Nana commends my kind heart

Grandpa applauds my success

My friends value my trust

My colleagues honor my opinion

My class voted me most studious

My hometown knows me by name

My teachers respect my work ethic

The Dean recognizes my grades

My coach recruited my potential

My team relies on my consistency

My acquaintances find me charming

The flight attendant called me an angel

A young girl thinks I’m her role model

And I’m my toughest critic

They love me for me.

Why is flawless so hard to see?
