Three Years

The three years we have socialized
Such a long dusty wind settling along
From the point we met to the ending point unexpected
Felt like a fairy-tale

You lived deep inside my heart
If only you knew that my heart was your home
You would be doing well by now
Except you chose to live your old habits
Telling me that you don't know what happiness was

Perhaps I wasn't the one for you to settle down on
After many confessions and misunderstandings
I'm glad that we have met and I was confident enough to tell you
I like you

You laughed and asked why
I already knew at that time
Time already left
Only despair spare part of me alive
Cried for days at your response

Three years has it been
Within the three years
Little did I appreciate at the beginning of your efforts
You were really interested in me
Shining light within my life

Years passed years
Yet we loosely continued to talk about our lives
And joked about love

For the three years we have talked
I silently fell in love with you
Something about you kept me alive
You were really nice and friendly to me
You taught me what time and love meant
Though I ended up dating someone else at that time
You found out disappointed
Yet you continued to stay by my side
I broke up with that person
To realize that the person I wanted to be with was you

Feelings got me tripping
I must try for one last time
I'm serious about you
You probably thought everything was joke
Atlas the bond broke apart

I didn't give up at the time
I believed in the so called love we made up
I carried the guts to find you at your workplace
You weren't there as expected
Your coworker asked if he should call you
I said it's okay
You have left your light for me to carry on
I will move on

Loneliness and melancholy filled in
I learn to live on without you
Occasionally I would think of you
And recalled that you didn't know what happiness was
I thought I was your happiness for you stay
But, you left

Months later
There was a profile picture of you with a someone new
Glee started to fill in
I grin that you found someone
Here I thought that you would try love with me
At least try a little with me
If the love didn't work
You can withdraw anytime
Anyhow, we went separate ways

Don't say I left you
I tried being there for you
You made the choice to abandon what we had
And went to someone new

The three years,

I loved you

You taught me what love confession was

Thank you for being my friend.
