Thoughts of Life

As the sunlight shines through trees of green,

I can't help but think,

Of birds fluttering low and high,

And of sweet music carried to the sky.

As the clouds above beam their white radiance,

I can't help but daydream,

About the good of the past,

And how long this could last.

As the sky changes colors from day to night,

I can't help but think of the stars in the sky.

Do they hide from the sun? I wonder,

Or is it simply the night they find more proper?

As music flows from leaves of trees,

To stars of splendor,

To waters calm, and ears walking by,

I can't help but think,

About what the music sings.

As life lives around me,

With sadness and joy,

I can't help but think,

What is the ploy?

As children play laughing,

And love is all around,

I can't help thinking,

What a beuatiful sound.
