For Those Considering Their Worth

Location

Reverse the medicinal sharpened cheekbones

And the occupational locked-jaw,

The haphazard swung fist.

The insecurity and externally developed self-hatred that’s causing

Your misbehaviour

Is what’s allowing for the scars on your wrist.

I want to begin by telling you that you

Are amazing, and important,

And worth it, I do.

You’ve heard it so many times from me, and I will repeat

Until my voice is hoarse and raw,

And scratching from the insides out with undying admiration for every inch of you.

You are so impeccable,

And no amount of effort could be put into any person

That would result in anything as colossally triumphant as you, y’know?

I’m talking about you,

I’m always bragging about you, because you’re the best thing

I’ll ever have to mention, or show.

You flawless, remarkable creature,

How are we so lucky?

Put down the blade, put down the rope, I’m here to convince you to stay.

I love you so much, you beautiful thing,

My God,

Please don’t throw yourself away.
