Thinking... On Life's Little Things

Look at the wall
So sturdy and tall
With bumps along its surface
Take a look at my hand
All wrinkly and tan
And yet it serves a purpose

Patterns on pockets
And heart-shaped lockets
These small, tiny treasures
Clear shiny rocks
And freshly cleaned socks
These intricate, delicate pleasures

The baffling thing
About life and living
Is that wonders are unceasing
And things won't be bad
We'll never be sad
So long as we keep on dreaming
