Things that you never knew

Things that those will never know

By: Skylar Kodish

Happiness is just one thing to think,

Some believe in him, and others don't.

He can be friendly,

He can be mannered,

Humbled through opportunities given despite the fact,

People don’t understand him because they don’t know him or his families track.

But never askin' for someone's help, to get some respect.

What truly stands out are the things you don't know.

His family left him up and cold,

Only with what's on his mind and what he was told.

Although you may believe you know him.

There is so much more in his world,

That most people don’t even know.

What truly stands out are the things you don't know.

His first encounter with a car,

He seemed to look petrified,

Because the Driver never knew he was on the side,

The man went inside,

This mysterious beast,

Nearly gave him a start,

When he started to pound on the chassis,

With one quick hiss,

It lean on its feet,

And moved forward with one great leap,

Something with such great age with a orange appeal,

That was causing such a heap,

Gave him something to remember,

For he couldn’t endeavor the fright of the next meet.

What truly stands out are the things you don't know.

After school as lights fade into a everlasting glow,

The night starts to approach,

The next thing you know;

The roar is heard,

The lights come on,

The key is turned,

Like a phoenix taking flight,

He is out of sight,

He's only focused on the road, his will is beyond reach

Reaching the top speed,

Bring down the heat,

Yet, its still just a figure of speech.

What truly stands out are the things you don't know.

One thing on his mind,

Is what happens after High school,

Because in fact what's the point of school?

To him? its just another tool,

to keep him with the majority rule.

Will he go to work?

Or continue with school?

Money in his pocket?

Or knowledge in his mind?

He knows the code

It's not about the salary,

It's all about reality,

And facing his choice.

Going to school,

And having a voice.

Regardless of the past,

He’s in it for good,

No regrets, no retreat,

This is how it’s going to be.

What truly stands out are the things you don't know.

Searching for love,

He has always been a giver,

Admitting of falling for it once or twice,

Forming a connection with nothing but recollection

Although hurt but not out,

He gets back up without a doubt,

Put on a smile and ready again,

Goes for it all without a plan.

What truly stands out are the things you don't know.

Even though it never seems that easy,

He has always been a bit more blissful,

To each and everyone around,

Because he has good hopes for the future,

Now to see everything come true,

Would be a dream come true,

But even those are just imagination,

Until that imagination becomes realization
