The things we don't say out loud

Tue, 09/01/2015 - 17:35 -- AbbyLG

Depression, grabbing you by the throat and chaining you to your bed.

Depression, pushing your friends away with unintentionally hurtful words, spitting out a, “No, I’m sorry, I’m busy this weekend” when you aren’t.

Depression, locking you in the bathroom and drowning you in your useless tears.

Depression, your excuse for your laziness, you pathetic little girl.

Depression, the monster in your closet that nobody believes is really there until it kills you.

Depression, the only one that can hear you scream at night.

Depression, bringing down your grades.

Depression, eating you from the inside out.

Depression, holding you at gunpoint and forcing you to say “Of course I’m okay. I’m always okay. Everything is okay.”
