Its the thing in my head

that takes me from this place;

to another world

into the far reaches of outer space. 

It allows me to be 

whatever I would want and more;

I could be a queen in a palace

or a mermaid on the ocean floor. 

I can envision new worlds

and bring them to life with my pen,

I don't know what I would do

without my imagination.

My head would be filled with dusty coggs, 

with webs all strewn about;

my witty brain and creative mind,

is something I can't live without.
