Things Left Unsaid

I wish I’d told you how good you looked in your suit when you picked me up for Homecoming.

I wish I’d told you how much I think about the time we went to the corn maze.

I wish I’d told you how much I enjoy watching you run.

I wish I’d told you that when you don’t answer my texts, it makes me kind of angry.

I wish I’d told you how I felt the first time I met you.

I wish I’d told you that 90% of the poetry I write is about you.

I wish I’d told you that I have dreams about you almost every night.

I wish I’d told you that I would have done just about anything to go on a date with you.

I wish I’d told you about the way I feel when you touch my skin.

I wish I’d told you that I love you.

But these are things left unsaid.
