They say dulce et decorum

They say dulce et decorum est

pro patria mori,

but the real lesson is in the fight,

not at the end of the story.

Turret ball gunners and damsels alike,

deserve to be admired,

bullets and dragons aren't the same,

but they both bring about a fire.

Hidden beneath the beautiful words,

is a fierce battle cry,

because of this more than anything else,

poetry has taught me to fight.
