These are things teachers tell you.

No one’s going to judge you!

Speak up!

Participate!

It doesn’t matter to them

That your heart races

For ten minutes after you do so.

You’re pretending!

You just don’t want to!

You’ll lose grade points if you don’t!

It doesn’t matter to them

That the snickers of your peers

Echo in your mind.

Social anxiety does exist.

Stop pressuring students!

It’s not our choice!

Realize it!
