As They Cry

Poor children.

Annoyances to everyone.

Carrie, Danny, Eli, others.

All part of an undying system

That does not hear their screams.

As they scream,

No one listens.

As they cry and plead,

They are ignored.

Used as punching bags by parents

Who do not love them;

Brainwashed by leaders

Who do not care.

Who are we to say that we

Care, and then plead that

Someone else put in the effort?

We are such hypocrites!

Now is the time.

Now is the time to care.

Now is the time to

Listen to what these children have to say.

Now is the time to look into their broken souls,

Pick them up,

Hold them.

Hold them as they cry.

Do not be afraid to cry with them.

Then,as they're being held, they can begin to be healed.

They can know that they are loved.
