These feelings I can share with you

These feelings aren’t so new.

They’re familiar and comfortable.

These are good feelings.

And I get to share them with you.

Not just these good feelings.

All of the feelings I feel.

I can share them with you.

And I know you’ll listen.

And I know you’ll care.

I won’t say forever.

That’s a long time.

But I know you’ll be there tomorrow.

When I wake up.

When I fall asleep.

When I scream.

When I cry.

When I can’t shut my eyes.

You’ll be there.

And I’ll be there, too.

I won’t promise forever.

That’s a mistake I’ve made before.

But I’ll be there tomorrow.

When you wake up.

When you fall asleep.

When you scream.

When you cry.

When you can’t shut your eyes.

I’ll be there.

These feelings will still be there.

Elated to see your face.

Even if it is through a screen.

Joy when you reply back.

Even if it is just pixels.

Ecstatic to hear your voice.

Even if it is through headphones.

Euphoric, exhilarated, enraptured, enchanted.

All these feelings.

And I can share them with you.
