These days

In this era

Kids are a little abnormal

They are swallowed by peer pressure

Spitting images of stereotypes

The fire burning in the chest of society

Kids these days are hall pop punk

Or at least trying

Stretched ears

Face piercings

Tattoos that show their beings

It has become a crime to express ourselves

Our capacity to work

And our capacity to learn

Has nothing to do with the way we that we appear

Our appearance should not make you cringe

The holes in our ears should not kill our interviews

Our chances to succeed and become something

But people with closed minds and no sense of direction

Will tear apart your soul

To tell you that you will never be anything

This poem is about:
Our world
