Then I Realized

Right from Wrong

Good to Bad

Peace of mind to constant worrying

Child to Adult

Then I realized I grew up

As a child, I never had to worry about bills

As soon as I began having the anxiety of not having enough

Then I realized I grew up

No more recess breaks only lunch breaks

Juice boxes to alcohol bottles

Sugar highs to just being high

Tears from a broken heart instead of a scraped knee

Then I realized I grew up
