That's a Good Question

When they ask why i write

how could i explain?

it's like asking why one cries when they are in pain

or why a bird responds to a bird call

I'm pretty sure y'all heard about newtons third law

words are,

the equal but opposite reaction

my mind and my heart were never optional attachments

spliff to the dome

i like to sit alone

and put the pen to the pad like i'm chiseling stone

even though my short term memory's gone

cuz i fly buzzed for lightyears through the infinity zone

i'm so down to earth

like a mound of dirt

i spit in & out sprouts flowers & herbs

i'm high like kites

man, i love my life

that's why i write, that's why i write
