Thanks

I wake up in the morning,

a fluffy blanket covering my shivering body.

I stretch and yawn as I sit up in my twin sized bed.

I wanna rest again, but my mom yells out "Get up, it's 6:45"

I race to the cold tiled bathroom,

wearing the red slippers while locking the door.

After using the restroom I brush my teeth

and do Whudu with the hot water in the drain.

I wear my clothes in my own room

after waking up my sisters.

I do my hair and wrap my hijab

as I wear my socks and my jacket.

I leave the room and get all four lunchboxes set,

filling them up with snacks and savours.

Then, I grab a nice breakfast to eat on the bus

It's a 20 minute long ride.

I'm on the bus now with a comfortable seat

and my music is blasting in my ears.

I read a book and play some games

on my iPhone 5; it's old but it is okay.

School's here, I go to my locker

put in all my stuff. I head for my classes

We have a block schedule,

So at 10:50 it's the freshman lunch.

I pray Dhuhr with my friends,

in the empty class on the 2nd floor.

After 3 hours we hear the bell,

and head down to sit on the bus.

I sit by the window with my friend

Taking in the fresh breeze.

Though the sun glares in my eyes at times,

It shines on the flowers real nicely.

I'm finally home, and I start off

With relaxing for about an hour.

My brother and I both watch our show

On the computer set in my room.

I do my homework, and my dad comes home

He takes us out for a walk.

We come home and I get ready for bed,

and then rest my head once more.

I have so much to thank for now.

Did you see me list it there?

But the problem isn't in the gifts and presesnts,

Its that I can't cherish it correctly.

So the next time you see someone with less

Or see the rich with more.

Remember to say thanks, because who knows

what'll happen, tomorrow.
