Thankful for the Little Things

Tue, 01/17/2017 - 21:57 -- Kyran H

What am I thankful for?

I am thankful I am not in the streets but surrounded by people that love me,

not in a gang or or selling dope but always around kindness and hope.

I may struggle sometimes, but I refuse to keep going in a downward slope.

I will rise up like the Atlanta Falcons or maybe even the sun, for I know every day above ground is a day I've won.

For my time is not done, for I have won, I have shined, and I will continue to grind...

Because I am in tune with the Most High, I realize, that I can do anything that's in my mind.

For my mind is large and for I am strong, and even though I have a few downs,

I will come out on top and keep my feet on the ground.

I am thankfull for the little things,

Food on the table and clothes on my back, and no matter how hard life gets, I will never look back.

I will keep moving forward, no matter what the cost, no matter how hard life is.

I am thankful for the little things, even though life can have a hit and a miss.
