Thank you, Studio Ghilbli

The maturity of love is in all

Whether you’re a dragon, a wizard, a massive cat, or a mountain wolf goddess

Love grounds us and molds us into the people who we are today

Yes, the adolescence we left behind, we may never regain

The little awkward moments will forever be intact

The sadness of a goodbye

Never knowing if you will ever see that special person again

But it ok because nothing lasts forever

Which is something I had to learn to become wiser

A little production company called Studio Ghibli

Taught me as a self-conscious teenager to fight for who we are and who we love even if they are the most flawed person

Who annoys me and evokes strong emotions

As well as showing me that its ok to be a bit peculiar

And dabble in areas that are outside of society`s comfort zone

Studio Ghibli was able to teach more valuable lessons about life than a school curriculum

Each staff member from the animation directors, the infamous compositions of Joe Hisaishi

To the genius himself, Hayao Miyazaki

Thank you, Studio Ghibli,

For, creating a part of my childhood that I could not have experienced on my own.
