You were my voice,

When I couldn't find the right words to speak,

When authority took away my power,

When I wanted to overcome my fear of shyness.

You were my friend,

Who was never far from my reach,

Who didn't judge but only listened to me as a ranted and raved,

Who cheered me up when I was down,

And defended me when I was put down.

Who cares for me,

Who truly understands me.

You were and will always be my muse.

The one who inspires my creativity,

The one who is all the colors of the rainbow that I use to paint my image onto the page,

Whether the picture is filled with liquid gold or dreary gray,

You will always be the silver lining.

You are my heart,

My soul,

And my one true love.

Thank You
