Thank You Mama

Who would've thought I'd have you as a mother, other than the one above

You taught me to love an gave me guidance

Whenever they said I wasn't going to make it

You said yours and all you have to do is go an take it

Mama, I Thank You

Me without you is like a nerd without braces,

A shoe without laces, aSentenceWithoutSpaces.

Mama I've seen you hold our home together like a foundation that will never crumble

As you limp home late at night, after a long day of work

This poem is about:
My family
