Thank You, The Little Prince

I've read the book The Little Prince.

I didn't quite understand it at first.

I've read it the second time since,

Understanding the pilot's thirst.

I realized it made fun of adults,

People who I thought were perfect.

Had to put it down at times, had to halt

To think about the story and reflect.

Made me realize children can be fun

And having unique thinking,

While adults can be dumb

And commit sins without blinking.

Thank you for these new deep thoughts;

I'm grateful for the lessons it taught.
