Thank You For Caring

Julia,

We never would have worked,

You knew it long before I did.

Before you left I had a friend,

Now that you’re gone I feel alone.

I know that it’s been a long time,

But there’s a part of me,

That will always belong to you.

Stephanie,

We were so good together,

I never wanted to let go.

I know you love someone new,

And I don’t want to get in the way.

You took away my pain,

And made my darkness light.

My heart still bleeds from when you left,

But I know it’s for the best.

Both of you,

I once loved you,

And I know that it didn’t work.

I wish that I could try again,

But I know that I never can.

I write all of this down now,

To let you know I don’t regret you.

I just wanted to say,

Thank you for caring.

Even if it was only in the past.
