A Temporary Fix

My heart is left feeling so heavy; so empty at the same time.
It contradicts itself so well.

Warm tears slowly making their way down my face.. soaking my skin.

Cold palms. the blood escapes my finger tips. they become stiff.

Blood shot eyes.
I look into the mirror and I see nothing but pain in the reflection.

My eyes alone can tell you the story of a thousand sleepless nights.

My body falls to the floor. numb. lifeless.

Sometimes thats what grief does to us. It swallows us up and rips us apart.

It takes years and years to become whole again.
And even then, you are never really whole.
You have just found a temporary fix.
