Tell me the difference between&

Tell me the difference between
Being in love with someone
And being in love with the idea of love.

Well, I'll tell you.

Loving someone is when you know
All of their little quirks and flaws.
Loving someone is when you know
All their embarrassing moments
And all of their family stories.
Loving someone is when you know
They are the only one you think of
When you need a shoulder to cry on.
Loving someone is when you can
Get angry at them.
Loving someone is when you can
Laugh at them for doing something stupid.
Loving someone is when you feel
Complete when wrapped in their arms.
Loving someone is when you can
Feel safe enough to let your walls down.
Loving someone is when they take
Your face between their hands and
Kiss your lips tenderly, and all you
Can think of is wanting to stay in
That moment forever.
Loving someone is when they can
Know what your thinking just by
Looking into your eyes.
Loving someone is trusting them
With the promise of protecting your heart.
Loving someone is when you are
Destroyed when they leave.
Loving someone is when you never
Are able to forget what was shared
Between the two of you.
Loving someone is when their
Happiness is yours, even if you
Aren't apart of what makes them happy.

Being in love with the idea of love
Blinds you from what you desire.
If you can't do these things with the
Person you "love," it's not love.

And for a seventeen year old..
I'm in love for the first time.
