we've all heard what the haters say. 

they act so kind right to our face.

but then they talk crap once we're replaced

by yet another hater (who hasn't really seen) 

what's truly behind the curtain;

but once the production's over and we take the final bow

I'll make everyone feel so stupid, like "look who I am now!"

They'll finally realize just how important the tech crew really is. 

When I step out onstage, I hope they remember this: 

sure, I'm not dazzling, not covered in glitter 

yea, I'm not beautiful, I'm no home run hitter.

but the girl you see now stepping out into the light

she's filled with power and can pick her own fight.

so, as you can see from cast and the crew, 

the person you hide behind the curtain

is you.
