Tears of His children ...

Psalm 42:3 My tears have been my meat day and night,

while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?

2 Timothy 1:3-4I am thankful to God, whom I have served with a clear conscience as my ancestors did, when I remember you in my prayers as I do constantly night and day. 4 As I remember your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy.

Tears of sorrow ... tears of pain

angels catch them one by one

to take to God Who saves them all

until the our time and day is done?

Some cry a tear here and there

a little cup filled in a lifetime

and then a few cry all the way

buckets full for love in prime time

A man I know cries like that

when tears run out ... he wonders why?

Is he losing his compassion

just because his eyes are dry?

When my Lord appeared on the cross

He thirsted ... and softly wept.

I reached out to Him ... tears in a cup

I cried for self ... I felt so inept

The Lord’s lips quivered as He drank

His tears were running on the ground

I tried to catch them in my heart

as He waited ... without a sound

He drank the tears till all were gone

Why the fear to give Him mine?

Are mine bitter instead of sweet

cried for self ... far from divine

The Crystal Sea is filled with tears

brought to God ... one by one

Angels are working overtime

in this world ... that’s so far gone

Is my hope intertwined with Christ’s,

for to know Him brings tears of joy

and so in God’s presence to remain

reborn forever ... in my Father’s Boy

How many folks did I bring to tears

when the image of Christ seemed gone?

When I quenched His Spirit with desires

and I placed myself on the Throne?
