Teach Me How to Feel Again

Location

Life has so many twists and turns,
Storms of hail that beat us all down,
Scorching days that often leave burns,
Many things to make you drown.

Yet for some strange and odd reason,
We wait to enjoy the rainbow,
But our gaze on clouds not even,
To ever see their silver glow.

Through these storms we become immune,
To the feelings we're meant to feel,
Our emotions go out of tune,
Which once damaged, are hard to heal.

Once lost in the storm, we forget,
How to feel happiness and love,
As if feelings we've never met,
Or even worse, never heard of.

Once lost at sea, there is still hope,
But may require some fortitude,
This is the way for one to cope-
An attitude of gratitude.

Every cloud has silver lining,
We see this as a constant trend,
Every star is always shining,
But teach me how to feel again.
