To the USA and my mother.

Stamp it on my wrist,

better yet crack open my chest and inscribe it

on my heart

so that every time it beats

I feel it pulsing

through my body

liquid poison

you think i want

to be this way.

The laws you make only

CHALLENGE me

and I’m not

scared of your prisons

or your courts,

because the society you created

has already dragged me

through hell

and i bet your jail cells

have nicer views and

a working

air conditioner.

For a country united by brotherhood

and freedom

you are damn good

at teaching us

how to rip each other apart.

so go ahead,

tattoo it on my forehead

so that everyone I pass

is aware that I am different

and untouchable

that is what you have done to me.

I hope your proud.

America the brave

still scared

of something as simple as

love.
