Talent and motive

Proverbs 21:16

16 The one who wanders from the way of wisdom
will end up in the company of the departed.

You only got ... what you've got.

You cannot give ... what you have not.

But if you give all ... that you've got

could that be enough?

Or should you double ... what you've got

even when afraid to spend a lot.

When you came into the world ... was that all you've got

or did you multiply that opportunity for God?

If you were lazy and hung on to what you got

in the end you'll loose all on the spot

For it is in trying and laboring you'll please God

that is the only way ... like it or not

But what if you think ... what you've got

Others can’t recognize...  while you plod

You think you're investing what's not

yours in life's uncertain ways

The motive behind in what you do

makes a difference ...  do you have that clue?

If you give to "the Master" ...  as you prove

that all you are and do is for "Him"

Does God give to you to receive

and only receives of them that believe?

Maybe in earnest He likes to retrieve

the Blessings and Grace through you

Yes what you shed as you go along the way

spreading the "good news" every day

Christ loves you and came here to save

you and every one who accepts His Way
