A tale of depression

He was invited into Darkness one cold, black night.

The Darkness took over his hearing, his touch, his sight.

As much as he wanted to leave, the Darkness made him stay.

And because of the Darkness, he pushed everyone away.

He never wanted life when Darkness was around.

So, he made a pact that would send him into the ground.

To get away from the Darkness so much that it hurt.

But he felt the Darkness slip away as he hit the dirt.

He felt peace, for one split second upon the cold earth.

But then the Darkness caught up to him, so what was it worth?

Wow good poem but it's very powerful.  Sadness and pain are definitely good emotions in this poem. Please read my poems and tell me what you think.
