TAKING A STAND FOR THIS CIVIL RIGHTS SLAM

In the hearts of many
We hold an affinity
For the man who took a stand
The King who created a plan
Brought his dreams to our home land
Although his life was taken
His words were not mistaken

The fight was long
The fight was dirty
For Civil rights we stand sturdy
Through segregation
Colored discrimination
And hurtful confrontation
Theres a lack of understanding
we all stand under one nation
