Take A Minute

Mon, 10/17/2016 - 14:31 -- Ri

It’s a mystery

Why certain things really seem to get to me

I wonder how and why it lasts this long

It’s repetitive and like an overused song

Confusion, frustration, and stressful situations

I think it’s time to have a couple of eliminations

Because such emotions are tiring

Who wants to feel so uninspiring

Feeling down and out

That’s not what I’m about

In case you may have misunderstood

I like to be feelin good

Sunny days, soft smiles and laughter

Great friends that make you snort right after

Laughing until your eyes are cryin

Just last night they had me dyin

Asian food and netflix shows

I really love my couch, everybody knows

Sometimes it’s boneless wings or mac n cheese

I LOVE me some food, it puts me at ease

See when a bad days seems to come around

I may need to take a minute, breathe in, sit down

My car is a place that also brings me serenity

I can then realize that this isn’t for eternity

Bad times may sometimes seem to stay awhile

But there are many things that can make me smile
