A Symphony of Three Words

Your voice

Was like music in my ears

Singing sweet symphonies of lies

Drowning all of my deepest fears

I let you climb inside my body

Inhabit my mind

Access my innermost secrets

And anything else

Your prying hands could find

I trusted you with everything

It’s my fault, I was weak

I thought you were my friend

My lover

I let you become my need

You took advantage of me

Using three words

Abusing three words

And I was too blind

With love for you

To see
