The man stepped onto his chosen pedestal. Heart racing, adrenaline pumping, but outside, he was completely still. Waiting. He bent almost in half as the impersonal authority commanded. Then, silence. Waiting. An unbearably long pause as he knew that he must remain perfectly still until another command was given. Finally, the horn was blown, and he jumped. He knew that this would bring him glory.
