Swap

Never in my life have I felt so cold

Colder than any snowy morn.

And when I think of blue, blue skies.

My thoughts wander to the darkest nights.

I could watch the stars emit their lights,

Stare at the moon that shines bright,

Hug her as the wind blows by,

Only if she were here tonight.

If I could just bargain with our dear God

I’ll ask Him to bring her back.

In exchange for riches: silver and gold

To have my grandma until I grow old.
