Survival

I am a person of survival

I've always been my own rival

They've always told me what to do

Not sure what to do

Lost in a world where I do not belong

Trying to be myself

Lost in the songs

Words words words going around filling up my head with negative thoughts

One cut two cuts three cuts four

Blood started dripping from my wrists to the floor

I ran back to my bed

A pen in one hand a paper in the other

Words filling unto the paper

A rope tied around my throat

I was about to jump when my mum opened my door

I saw the tears in her eyes

My pain faded away

Lost lost lost in her arms

I felt her love wash over me

Now I pray for all the lost souls screaming for help

I want to be their light

The person who saves them

Like my mum saved me
