Gray tinted skin

With splotchy pink cheeks

Ashy peppered hair,

Sprinkled under soft stars

Cracked tired lips,

Blue from the frost

Wisped breath

Flowing, churning,

Only to rise like musty smoke

Worn leather jacket,

Casting a calloused longing warmth

Stained, muddy boots

Scrubbed for their faults and memories,

But they never cease to arise
