The Sun Survives For Me

The sun became a sitting star

The sun had risen

but would not rise

petrified in angled style

Today the sun

survived

The clouds blended

Unlike their past

A softness ruled

The streaks of vast

The blue had purged

the heaven skies

and all below

enjoyed surprise

Winds to water

brushing, finely

winds to beauty

eyes blindly

The world did well

to hand and hold

A human happiness

Did not get sold

A time of new

Not terribly old

And then

A simple roll

What was pristine and crystallized

would break and crack

to realize

What must be lost

a bit of cold

A sound so deep

A tear

so bold

Enough for the sun

the rower behind

A softened cloud

of darker kind

An ominous glow

scarred the streaks

and powdered heavens

with powdered cheeks

The sound then came

a glum surprise

The winds that wailed

But lacked their lies

A sliver of light

Would soon take flight

Standing sun

Black clouds would run

As the sun would sit

behind
