Summer

Wed, 08/05/2015 - 23:58 -- annabee
Even someone cold as you
Could feel this summer heat
I would just like to know
If your heart breaks when it beats

August has long since gone
Your voice creeps in my head
I can still hear those lies
When I’m sleeping in my bed

Winter calls out suddenly
My heart turns into stone
You turned me against the world
Now I’m left here all alone

Someday I may forgive
The things that we did wrong
But until then I can see
That the darkness lasts so long
