Stuck in One's Mind

I appear to be stuck in my own mind.

It's been this way for as long as I've lived,

Hidden in dreams, pretending to be kind.

Overreacting I'm not that deprived,

But I've realized I'm not the only one.

Friends, family, idols, stars, come back from mars,

Just to cry, knowing life still weighs a ton.

Bittersweet, I still can't play my guitar,

It sits in the corner, waiting for love.

Always waiting never taking action,

like me, it's still, gathering dust and thoughts,

I will wonder, can anyone or me,

Win this fight, that's never really been fought.

Our world
