Stone

Location

Take my hand

Small compared to yours

The iron fist you rule with

And hold my hand until it chills

Until it hardens like yours

Press your palm against my chest

Freeze my burning heart

And let it ice over until it almost cracks

Hold me close to you

Let the cold that engulfs your body close around mine

Until I am the monster you are

Let me turn to ice

Turn to stone

Let the ocean finally freeze

And watch as I melt the ice covered world

Despite your attempts to freeze me

I will not be turned to stone

Your snakes have lost their power

I am human, not stone

And if you try to freeze me

I will melt the ice away

And once again my heart will burn

In it's usual powerful way
