A still small voice ...

Job 26:14

14 Indeed, these are but the outer fringes of His ways!
How faint is the whisper we hear of Him!
But who can understand the thunder of His power?”

A still small voice is the way He speaks ... through conscience or the Spirit.

He draws our attention seldom ... through so-called signs and wonders.

Although all seems a miracle ... that we experience in His Presence

as it was in the day of our redemption ... at the Cross up yonder.

How can this be “Up Yonder”? Don’t we take up our cross daily to follow?

He oft answers prayers before we ask ... He directs our circumstance.

At times He overrules ... the decisions that we make.

He lets us choose the influence of the powers we want to follow.

He won’t let powers take “our” life ... for Christ has sealed that fate.

So what we need is ears to hear ... and more than that to will

Being formed in obedience ... with hunger to please our Maker.

He Who spoke and the universe ... and all that it contains

Into the reality as we know it ... in call of our partaking.
