Step One (No. 54. October 1, 2012)

There's no one left out here to see

Every similarity

That every whisper, every rhyme

An intimation of a time

Every piece of poetry

Had each word placed carefully

Through thought and simple melody

On a sliver of truth, behind my eyes

Hinting at more than lies

Well now we know, since the fog has gone

That every word I've written is wrong

I'll attempt to lament in silence for you

Just know I'll be destroyed for you too
