Father, I walk a path so wide,
yet filled with so many rocks to bleed upon.
It seems as though I've pressed my luck too far.
This is the step I took that broke my legs, but I'll keep crawling.
Crawling toward something I'll never reach,
for it is my own weight that will crush me.
It seems as though I've swallowed too soon.
Condemned to stumble in the dark.
Searching for the sun I'll never find.
These false signs have got me lost in my own desires.
It seems as though I've been chained to the door...

the door I'll never be strong enough to close.
Heavenly Father, send me your strength,
breathe upon my path, make it clear.
FAther, my wrists have been bent backwards, sliced open.
This burden is so heavy, please send me your strength.
It seems as though my eyes have run dry of tears.
My lungs are trapped and filled with the black air I cannot breathe out.

This pressure on my chest will not let up...
Father, please take my life into your hands.
The guilt I carry has been churning in my stomach,
twisting my feet down the wrong staircase.
You died for me, but I cannot live for you.
Because I'm nothing more than just another
pale face within a heap of corpses.
